Attendees thoroughly enjoyed the presentation by Dr. Sophia Bekirias, D.C., who practices Neuro-Chiropractic in Sugarland, Texas. Many good and creative ideas were discussed in relation to alternative therapies in Stroke Recovery. Thank you Dr. Sophia for sharing your time and knowledge with us.

On May 12, 2012, the Stroke Warriors were shown herapeutic exercises for help in recovery from stroke by Rosemary Haggarty, OTR (in green). There were 18 in attendance who all enjoyed the presentation and exercises!

Dr. Bing You, who practices a blend of Eastern and Western medicine here in Houston, presented a very interesting and informative program for our group telling us of the benefits of acupuncture in stroke recovery. He gave us a brief history of acupuncture as well as a demonstration of the process. Those who participated in the demonstration were very pleased.
